Not a racing catalog. A tactile archive.
Each month, The Painted Few selects one automobile with a story, a shape, and a place in memory. The collection studies the details that make the car matter long after the engine is quiet.
Every release is built to be held and kept: artwork for the wall, photographs for the details, a blueprint for the curious, and a letter that puts the car back in its time and place.
The result is a growing archive for people who notice proportion, engineering, materials, and the feeling a great car leaves behind.
The origin of the collection
Where It Started
I was a little kid the first time I walked into the LA Auto Show, and I’ve never really walked out.
I remember the lights, the polished floors, and the crowds. Then, all of a sudden, there they were: the Porsches, the Ferraris, the Lamborghinis. The cars from the posters were sitting right in front of me, close enough to touch. They were lower, wider, and more beautiful than any picture could show.
I left with an armful of posters, and they went straight up on my bedroom walls. That room became my own little showroom. I’d fall asleep looking at those cars and wake up already thinking about them.
That feeling never left. It grew into auto shows, races, museums, and factory tours where you could watch a car come to life piece by piece. Later, it became weekends at Laguna Seca, watching the races and driving Highway 1 between sessions.
Somewhere along the way, I stopped loving just one kind of car and started loving all of them: the legends, the underdogs, the ones that changed everything, and the ones that simply made you turn your head.
I’ve also been painting for more than 30 years.
The Driver’s Collection is where those two loves finally meet.
Every month, I choose one car that deserves to be remembered. I paint it, dig into its story, and send the collection to you — the same way those posters once found their way onto my bedroom wall.

Frequently asked questions.
What arrives each month?+
A fine-art print, three Polaroid-style photographs, a fold-out blueprint, a collector sticker, and a letter telling the story behind that month’s featured car.
When does the Driver’s Collection ship?+
During the launch reservation, your first collection ships December 1, 2026. Monthly plans charge again January 1, 2027, then on the first of each month; prepaid options are charged once and their included collections ship monthly.
How do the monthly entries work?+
Every Driver’s Collection tier includes matching entries each active month: Ignition 10 car + 10 automotive experience entries, Apex 20 + 20, Grand Tour 40 + 40, and Collector Series 60 + 60. The Collector Series 12-month upfront option also includes a 13th monthly release at no additional charge.
What can the driving-experience winner choose?+
The winner chooses between BMW One-Day M School, Mercedes-AMG Performance Day, and Las Vegas Motor Speedway Race Time. Each option includes two nights of hotel accommodation and one round-trip plane ticket. Fine print: the ticket is economy class to or from a major commercial airport, and hotel accommodation is at a three-star-or-higher property, subject to availability. Do Places and Driver’s Collection have separate giveaway winners?+
Not for The Painted Few’s brand-wide giveaways. Eligible entries from both collections are combined into one applicable drawing pool, and one winner is selected from all eligible entries. Collection-specific drawings, such as an original artwork giveaway tied to a particular collection, may have their own separate entry pool. See the Official Rules for each drawing.
Can I enter without purchasing?+
Yes. Free mail-in entry details are provided in the Official Rules.
What happens when my prepaid term ends?+
Apex, Grand Tour, and Collector Series complete their prepaid term after the final shipment. After the prepaid term, continue at $17/month unless canceled.
